The Druid's Grove

The Druid's Grove

Introduction

You come across the restless spirit of a druid who comes to you with a plea - return their body to their Druid's Grove, and in return, their Grove shall be yours.

Will you help them?

The Druid's Grove is a customizable player home with a twist - giving you the ability to summon your own unique Woodland Spirits to accompany you throughout your travels in Skyrim!

The home is located to the North-East of Riften, and its map marker will be visible on your map as an undiscovered location. A quest will start once you arrive at the Druid's Grove, and completing it will let you enter.

Features

  • Summon three Woodland Spirits each with unique abilities
  • A fully furnished living area, bedroom and display room with plenty of mannequins and weapon plaques
  • A dramatic cavern with plenty of ingredients and 7 planters to grow your own
  • Four areas for you to furnish in one of 7 configurations; Bath, Children's Bedroom, Druid's Study, Forge, Guest Room, Shrine and Tavern

Quests

Woodland Spirits

The following are the spirits you can summon in the Druid's Grove. All can be followers except the Bartender, which will remain exclusively in a Tavern should you chose to build one.

Notes & Troubleshooting

Adoption & Marriage

  • The Druid's Grove does not support Adoption and Marriage out of the box as this would require direct edits to the base game's Adoption quest, which is outside the scope of the Creation. However it has been set up to work with the various Adoption mods that exist, such as Hearthfire multiple adoptions.

Quest not Starting/Progressing

Mod Conflicts

If the quest to enter The Druid's Grove isn't starting up when you arrive at its entrance, you might have a mod conflict. I have created a patch called The Druids Grove - Location Patch that will fix this. Place it as far down your load order as you can and that should resolve the issue.

  • If the quest still has not started up after installing the patch, try walking up to the cave entrance of The Druid's Grove and then walk far away from the area, and then back. You might have to try a couple of times (Technical details: You need a Location Change event to fire from the Story Manager, and this should cause that to happen).

Woodland Spirits have gone missing

Known Issue

There was a bug where re-summoning may not have worked. Patch 1.01 resolves this issue; ensure the Creation is up to date if you are unable to re-summon a Woodland Spirit.

  • If one of your Woodland Spirits have gone missing after following you, they might have died. You can re-summon a Woodland Spirit from the Druid's Circle, using the same pedestal that you used to summon them for the first time.

Customizing Areas

There are four empty areas you can customise in the Druid's Grove - located in a circle around the master bedroom.

To customize an empty area:

  • Walk up to its stairway.
  • Look to the side - you'll see a Book labelled Furnishings.
  • Activate the Book to see a list of furnishings you have available.
  • Only one furnishing of a type can be active at once. You cannot have two Wizard's Studies, for instance.
  • Each furnishing costs 450 Gold.
  • Select a furnishing from the list and it will instantly appear in the formerly empty area.

You can empty out an area again by using the Furnishings Book. Please note:

  • It is highly recommended you remove any items you may have placed in the area before you empty it.
  • Any items that were on mannequins will automatically be moved to the chest that is by your bed in the master bedroom in order to ensure they are kept safe.

Using the Bath will grant the "Cleansed" effect, granting a 5% skill increase for 8 hours. You can only use the Bath when you aren't under the effects of "Cleansed".
